Daijiworld Media Network – Kundapur (MS)

Kundapur, Oct 10: Two women, posing as customers, conned a jewellery shop owner out of Rs 2.5 lakh by exchanging fake old gold for real gold.

The shop owner initially tested the old gold provided by the women for copper and, believing it to be genuine, handed over new gold ornaments.

However, he soon grew suspicious of the exchanged gold.

Upon closer inspection, he discovered that the ornaments contained only copper, with no trace of gold.
