Udupi, Oct 11: A case has been filed against an individual who posed as the parliamentary chief secretary of the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) and obtained a special darshan of Lord Krishna at the Sri Krishna Math in Udupi.
According to reports, on October 9, a man named Uday called Nagaraj Acharya, Diwan of Paryaya Puttige Math of Sri Krishna Math, introducing himself as the parliamentary chief secretary of the PMO. He requested Nagaraj to make arrangements for him and his family during their stay and darshan at the math.
In his complaint, the math manager, Nandan, stated, "On October 9, Dr Uday and his family arrived in an Innova car labelled 'Government of India’. We made the necessary arrangements and facilitated their special darshan of Lord Krishna on October 10. However, we became suspicious of Dr Uday’s behavior and inquired further. He was unable to provide satisfactory answers and left the premises. Upon checking the PMO website, we found no information on Dr Uday. This person has deceived Sri Krishna Math by impersonating a central government officer."
Udupi police are continuing their investigation into the incident.
