Karkala, Oct 13: Dr Shreesh Sathish Shetty, a native of Ninjoor Moodumane in Karkala taluk, won Rs 12.5 lac on the popular Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) reality show, telecast on Sony TV. He answered 12 questions correctly. The episode aired on October 10 and 11.
Dr Shreesh was asked to name the MP of the Mumbai Northeast Lok Sabha constituency in 1971. The options were General K M Cariappa, Vijaya Tendulkar, Pandit Bhimsen Joshi, and Raj Kapoor. As he was unsure of the answer, Dr Shreesh chose to quit the game, securing Rs 12.5 lac.
Dr Shreesh Sathish Shetty is the son of Shrivalli Shetty from Palli Ninjoor Moodumane and Sathish Shetty from Suratkal. He currently resides in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. After completing his MBBS from GMERS Medical College in Vasad, Gujarat, he is now pursuing his postgraduate studies (MD) at BJ Medical College, Ahmedabad.
