Udupi: 27-yr-old man arrested with cannabis, stolen goods valued over Rs 3 lac

Udupi, Oct 27: A 27-year-old man was arrested for possessing cannabis, with items worth Rs 3,04,610 seized, including 2 kilos 344 g of cannabis valued at Rs 1,87,500.

A team led by Inspector Ramachandra Nayak of the CEN Police Station, which included sub-inspector Pavan Nayak and staff members Praveen Kumar, Venkatesh, Rajesh, Yatheenkumar, Prashant, and Charanraj, successfully apprehended Abdul Jabbar (also known as Jabbar), a resident of Kelarkalabettu, Udupi.

 

The arrest occurred near Perampalli of Shivalli village in Udupi taluk.

The operation resulted in the seizure of various items, including cannabis valued at Rs 1,87,500, an Aprilia scooter worth approximately Rs 1,00,000, Rs 5,810 in cash, a mobile phone valued at Rs 10,000, a weighing machine worth Rs 1,000, and a knife priced at Rs 300. The total value of the seized items amounts to Rs 3,04,610.

A case has been registered at the CEN police station.
