Mangaluru, Oct 28: The CCTV at Paaneeru Children’s Ashram has captured a group of dogs chasing what appeared to be a leopard, sparking concern among locals.

An out-of-state laborer first spotted the animal moving along the roadside and promptly alerted the local residents. When the CCTV was checked, it confirmed the sighting of the animal.

The laborer reported seeing the leopard near the compound wall of Allwyn D’Souza’s residence around 9:30 pm on Sunday. After receiving the information, locals reviewed the CCTV footage from Paaneeru Day Mercy Children’s Ashram on Monday. The footage shows a leopard-sized animal being pursued by dogs.

The ashram’s in-charge, alarmed by the footage, issued a voice message to warn the public with the assistance of locals. Local forest officer Mahabal visited the area to inspect the site after being informed. He stated that while the footage shows an animal moving, it is inconclusive if it is indeed a leopard. He assured residents that necessary measures will be taken in the area.

It's actually found around 7:00-7:30 ,away from childrens home but the information was circulated. But it has passed through which is recorded. There are very many lands purchased by the other than localities who never visit or neither clean. This is a matter of concern, not only regard to the wild animals but also for some suspective activities.

When in cctv.showing a animal near the compound, certainly it must be a leopard. What else?Better to install bright light in that area at night. They dont like bright light but seek darkness to hunt.Important children are safe as well other citizens too
