Bahrain: Countdown begins for 'Kannada Vaibhava' cultural event in Manama set for Nov 8

Bahrain, Nov 3: The Kannada Sangha in Bahrain is set to host a grand cultural event titled 'Kannada Vaibhava' on Friday, November 8. This celebration will honour the achievements of the state’s artistes and will take place in the outdoor sports area of the Indian Club in Manama, with the countdown to the event officially underway.

The programme will begin at 5:30 pm, and final preparations for this vibrant celebration are in full swing.

Vinod K Jacob, the ambassador of India to Bahrain, will be the chief guest, while special guests will include Captain Brijesh Chowta, Member of Parliament for Dakshina Kannada, and MLA Ashok Rai from Puttur.

Notable dignitaries such as Mithun Rai, general secretary of KPCC, and Prof Dr Balakrishna Shetty, chancellor of Malla Reddy Health City, will also be present. The event will feature the presence of notable dignitaries, including K S Sheikh Karnire, vice-president of the 'Expertise' organisation in Saudi Arabia; Dr U T Iftikar, president of the State Allied and Health Care Council; Rohan Monteiro, founder chairman of Rohan Corporation; popular Kannada film actor Prem; Dr Shivasharan Shetty, managing director of 'Namma TV'; and Kavu Hemant Shetty, secretary of KPCC.

Under the presidency of Amarnath Rai, the event will feature a variety of colourful cultural performances by renowned artistes from Karnataka and local talents. The annual souvenir 'Kaveri', highlighting the organisation’s activities, will be launched, and achievers will be honoured on stage.

Entry to the event is free for all Kannadigas in Bahrain. Amarnath Rai has urged the community to participate and celebrate the richness of Karnataka’s language, art, and culture.
