Kadaba, Nov 5: A rooster that was being transported on a scooter has remained on the vehicle for the past two days after the rider was killed when a tree fell on the scooter at Pulikukku Murachedavu near Kodimbala in the taluk.

Seetharama Gowda, a resident of Devasya, died when a tree fell on his scooter as he was taking the rooster home to fulfill a vow to the Daiva at Edamangala during Deepavali.

The rooster, whose legs were tied with a rope, fell near Seetharama Gowda’s body. Locals later untied the rope from its legs, and the rooster ran into a nearby forest as a large crowd gathered at the accident site.

After the crowd dispersed, the rooster returned to the scooter and has been perching on it. Whenever people approach the scooter, it runs to a nearby tree and comes back once they leave. This behaviour has continued for two days, sparking curiosity among the public.
