Mumbai: Thiya Samaj Organizes Free Health Camp

Mumbai, Dec 14:  Thiya Samaj organized a free health camp at Vani Samaj Mandal auditorium, Park Site, Vikhroli (West), on Sunday December 10.

The surgeons led by Thiya Samaj’s renowned cardiologist Dr Dayanand Kumble conducted various tests and gave health tips to the participants.

Thiya Samaj president Chandrashekar Belchada presided over the simple programme held after the camp.

Kaup Sitadevi Devi Memorial Trust Foundation founder N A Kotian was the chief guest on the occasion.

During the programme, Kotian felicitated Dr Kumble in recognition of his medical service.

Speaking on the occasion, Kotian said that health is wealth and he commended the concern of Thiya Samaj in this respect.

Chandrashekar Belchada, in his presidential address, said that the cardiac camp gives an opportunity to modify one’s lifestyle for longevity. “Thiya Samaj is committed to the health of the community,” said Belchada.  He also lauded the honest service of Dr Kumble for the welfare of the community.

Thiya Samaj trustees Ravindra S Manjeshwar, west zone regional committee president Kannappa Bademar, Dr Rajeev Kumar, Dr Hemalata Sunil, Dr Deepali Gujaran, and east zone women’s wing president Vranda Dinesh were present at the dais.

Monthly bulletin ‘Thiya Jyoti’ honorary editor Sridar S Suvarna and health fund committee president Timmappa Bangera were present on the occasion.

Over 100 members of Thiya Samaj participated in the free cardiac camp.

Gangadhar Kallady rendered the prayers.  Thiya Jyoti sub-editor Babu Belchada compered the programme.  East zone joint secretary Vivek Chandrashekar proposed the vote of thanks.
