Top Honours for Megha Hegde in Junior Open Sight Air Rifle Competition

Mumbai, Dec 14: Megha Surendra Kumar Hegde who represented Maharastra in the under-19 junior open sight air rifle competitions held at Shiva Chatrapati Stadium, Pune, bagged a bronze in the individual category and gold in team championship.

Megha is studying in I HSC at Tolani College of Commerce and Economics, Andheri (East). She is the daughter of entrepreneur and Sanatana Vedike president Surendra Kumar and Vinodini Hegde.

She is the honorary secretary of ‘Kalajagattu’, the children’s troupe functioning in the western suburb of Bandra – Borivali.   She has secured 94 percent in SSC exams held in April 2011.

International shooter Gagan Narang as well as sports and youth service director Anjali Bhagavat were present during the prize distribution ceremony.
