Sullia, Dec 15: After misunderstanding arose between groups of students relating to accommodation on a bus plying between the town and Guttigar, they fought a pitched battle. Six students were hospitalized on Tuesday December 13 in this connection.

Verbal altercations between the students on the bus over seat sharing gave rise to a brawl when the bus stopped at Elimale bus stop. In a complaint, Prashant, student of a local college, accused Harris, Abdul Rashid, and Abdul Sattar of assaulting him and his friends, Bookshit and Tejakumar. A counter complaint was also filed by another group.

After coming to know of the incident, hundreds of college students gathered at the hospital on Wednesday December 14. There too, tempers flew high, and verbal duel ensued between different groups. The policemen dispersed the students by using their canes.
