Mangaluru Aug 31: The Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Akademi will organise a Konkani poetry meet titled ‘Kavya Vhalo-18’ at the Akademi auditorium on September 5, at 4:00 pm.
Akademi president Joachim Stany Alvares will preside over the programme. Renowned Konkani actor, singer and activist M. Muralidhar Kamath will participate as the chief guest.
Senior Konkani activist Gerald Rodrigues will be felicitated on the occasion.
Renowned poetess Tara Lavina Fernandes (Lavi Ganjimath) will preside over the poetry meet. Valerian Sequeira (Valli Bola), Shanan Reev Crasta, Kruthika Kamath, Jenisha Sharal Rodrigues, Edward Lobo Tokkottu, Violet J Pereira, Ashna Lena Pereira, Aloma Lobo Kateel, Godwin Pinto, Kantavara Shivananda Shenoy and Preetham Mijar will recite their poems.
Konkani-speaking people have been requested to participate in the programme in large numbers.
