Mangaluru, Nov 28: The annual day celebration for Pre-KG to grade 7 of Morning Star English Medium Higher Primary School, Bajpe, was held with great enthusiasm on November 27, at the school premises. The event revolved around the theme, ‘Nature’. The programme commenced with a warm welcome by the school band, led by Jane Priyal Rodrigues.
The event was presided over by Fr Dr Praveen Leo Lasrado, secretary of the Catholic Board of Education, Mangaluru, and joint secretary of Morning Star School, Bajpe. The chief guest was Walter Nandalike, founder and managing director of Daijiworld media, with Leonilla Swetha as the guest of honour. Other dignitaries included Sr Nisha D’Souza, headmistress, and Prasanna D’Souza, vice president of the PTA.
The school cabinet presented the annual report for the academic year 2024-2025.
Two students, who will represent Karnataka in the National Level Football Tournament, were felicitated for their achievements. This was followed by an inspirational message from the chief guest, Walter Nandalike. In his address, he commended the school for providing excellent education and for its efforts in shaping students into responsible citizens of tomorrow.
Fr Dr Praveen Leo Lasrado, in his presidential address, described the annual day celebration as a memorable event in students' lives. He congratulated the school for organizing the celebration and said, “The school is not only providing quality education but also offering integral formation to its students. The commitment to imparting value-based education is what makes Morning Star a preferred choice for many parents. The school ensures both quality education and safety for its students. The theme of today’s programme highlighted the importance of being responsible to protect nature. The management has worked tirelessly to ensure the integral growth and holistic development of every student.”
Mable D’Souza delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the event.
The formal function was followed by a cultural extravaganza, showcasing vibrant performances by students from pre-KG to grade 7.
