The incident occurred on December 9 when Rajeevi (50), wife of Damodar Bhat and a resident of Koriaru in Koyyuru village, was returning home. After alighting from a bus near Pambelu in Koyyuru around 2:35 PM, she was walking towards her house when the accused followed her and attempted to snatch her 32-gram gold necklace.
