Kolkata, Dec 27 (IANS): Model-turned-actress Bipasha Basu feels her co-stars Bobby Deol and Akshay Kumar's support during her initial years helped her to become a full time actor.
"Both Bobby and Akshay are going to be my favourites because I didn't know what I was doing in 'Ajnabee' and the kind of support they gave me, including the directors, that I decided to be an actor," said the 32-year-old here Monday.
Abbas-Mustan directed hit thriller "Ajnabee" (2001), starring Bobby and Akshay.
"I called Bobby - Bobby Doll for a long time and he calls me Bipshaw. When such terms are exchanged between co-stars, then you know that there is genuine affection," said Bipasha.
She was asked how she felt working with Bobby again after a gap of 10 years in "Players".
Usually actresses don't get along but Bipasha says that she had a good time with Sonam Kapoor who also features in the Abbas-Mustan directed action thriller set for Jan 6 release.
"Sonam is a wonderful girl. I am talkative and she is equally talkative, may be a bit more. We had a wonderful time as every single member of the cast was very comfortable and confident in their space. We used to hang out together. We liked working together and you can see the chemistry on screen," she said.
Bipasha also recalled her long association with Abhishek Bachchan.
"I think we did a screen test together for 'Akhri Mughal'. The movie was never made. Now we have grown as individuals, actors, and friends. We had a blast together," she said.
