Mangaluru, Jan 6: In a tragic incident, a lorry-bike collision resulted in the untimely death of a medical store owner near Tiblapadavu, Natekallu, on Monday, January 6 afternoon.
The deceased has been identified as Avsaf (25), the owner of Hajira Medicals and son of Jaleel, a resident of Derlakatte.
The accident occurred when Avsaf was riding his bike from Derlakatte towards Tiblapadavu. Near a divider at Tiblapadavu, a lorry suddenly turned, leading to a collision between the bike and the rear of the lorry. Avsaf succumbed to his injuries on the spot.
Avsaf, who had completed his education a few years ago, was managing the medical store at Derlakatte Junction.
A case has been registered at Mangaluru South Traffic Police Station. CCTV footage of the incident has been captured.

Tue, Jan 07 2025There is not even a single day we read in newspapers, min 3 to 4 two wheeler deaths in D.K alone.. I am very sure India stands No 1 in the world to have max road accident deaths, especially two wheelers. Authorities MUST seriously do something to curb this..
