Mangaluru: Lorry-bike accident claims life of Derlakatte pharmacist

Mangaluru, Jan 6: In a tragic incident, a lorry-bike collision resulted in the untimely death of a medical store owner near Tiblapadavu, Natekallu, on Monday, January 6 afternoon.

The deceased has been identified as Avsaf (25), the owner of Hajira Medicals and son of Jaleel, a resident of Derlakatte.

The accident occurred when Avsaf was riding his bike from Derlakatte towards Tiblapadavu. Near a divider at Tiblapadavu, a lorry suddenly turned, leading to a collision between the bike and the rear of the lorry. Avsaf succumbed to his injuries on the spot.

Avsaf, who had completed his education a few years ago, was managing the medical store at Derlakatte Junction.

A case has been registered at Mangaluru South Traffic Police Station. CCTV footage of the incident has been captured.
