Udupi: 'Gili Gili' Weaves the Magic of Awareness

Udupi, Dec 31: Professor Shankar of ‘Gili Gili’ magic troupe staged a people’s awareness programme through a magic shows as part of ‘Akshaya Vasanta’ programme at Kota and Mudugiliyaru, and Chaduravalli and Tummari in Shimoga district, from Sunday December 25 to Wednesday December 28.

The magic shows were held to educate the people on blind beliefs, miracles, evils of alcohol addiction, scams in which people cheating others by mobile calls, importance of communal harmony, and modern banking facilities.

The audience opined that the general public would have been spared being cheated by racketeers through mobile calls and saved thousands of rupees, had the programme been held much earlier.
