Bantwal: Students’ educational tour 'Karnataka Darshana' flagged off

Bantwal, Jan 10: The educational tour ‘Karnataka Darshana’ for students of scheduled castes and scheduled tribes, covering classes 8 to 10, was flagged off on Friday by the Bantwal Block Education Officer’s office in collaboration with the Karnataka department of Tourism and the department of Primary and Secondary Education for the year 2024-25.

Block Education officer M G Manjunathan flagged off the tour by signalling with a green flag. He encouraged students to make the most of this educational experience, which extends learning beyond the classroom and enhances their interest in education.

The tour will cover prominent locations such as Belur, Halebidu, Hampi, Almatti, Vijayapura, Kudalasangama, Aihole, Pattadakal, Badami, and Anjanadi.

Among those present at the event were physical education inspector Shivaprasad Rai, supervisor of the Bantwal Block Education Officer’s Office Pushparaj, education coordinators Pratima V, Sujata, and Sudha, president of the Primary School Teachers’ Association Jayaram, secretary of the Government Employees' Association Santosh, First-grade assistant Kishore, office staff Kartik, resource person Mallikarjuna, Tourism department officer Raghu, and teachers Vijayalakshmi, Muralidhar Acharya, and Satyashankar, who are overseeing the 75-student group.
