Udupi: One dead as goods truck catches fire after collision

Udupi, Jan 11: In a tragic incident near Balayipade in Udyavar, a goods truck was engulfed in flames following a collision with a scooter late after midnight on Friday. One person died in the accident.

The deceased is identified as Avinash Acharya (19) of Paniyoor. 

The incident occurred around 2 am on Saturday when the truck collided with the scooter, resulting in a fire that completely destroyed the truck. The scooter became lodged under the truck due to the collision.

The fire is suspected to have been triggered by the impact, with the scooter wedged beneath the truck, causing the blaze.
