Mangaluru, Jan 13: The ‘Students Empowering Students’ programme was organized by the student council of St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru, to enhance communication and memory skills among second-year students. This student-to-student interaction initiative provided a unique platform where students themselves acted as resource persons, creating an engaging and practical learning environment.

The student trainers were Ann Riya George, Elizabeth Mary Jose, Krupa, Archana, Sanjana Shetty, Crystal Pinto, Niyanth, Tripti, Afra, Uzma, Rubina, Siyola, Harshitha, Sheethal, Hriswi. The topics were divided among the trainers to ensure organized and seamless delivery.

The session was designed to improve academic performance and personal growth by focusing on effective communication and memory enhancement techniques. Through interactive and fun-filled activities, the participants were encouraged to develop their skills in a collaborative and dynamic setting.

The session included a variety of engaging activities designed to enhance communication and memory skills:

Simon whispers: A game to develop listening and verbal communication.
Bottle memory: Demonstrated techniques for improving memory retention.
Observation game: Strengthened attention to detail and concentration.
Dance chain: Highlighted the importance of non-verbal communication and coordination.
Dumb charades: Promoted creativity and non-verbal communication.
Debates: Fostered critical thinking and verbal articulation.

The session concluded on a positive and interactive note, with trainers highlighting the importance of effective communication and memory skills for both academic success and personal growth. The students expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to participate in such an engaging and meaningful programme.
