Bengaluru man caught in Goa with drugs worth Rs 1 lac

Panaji, Jan 17: A 28-year-old man from Bengaluru was arrested by the Goa police following the seizure of ganja worth ?1 lakh near Panaji.

The crime branch conducted a raid near Monte Guirim Ground in Guirim village, North Goa, on Wednesday and apprehended the accused, identified as Mohammad Rehan, a resident of Bilal Nagar, Bengaluru, according to a police spokesperson.

During the operation, police confiscated 1.02 kilograms of ganja from Rehan's possession. The accused has been arrested and charged under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) act, the spokesperson added.

Investigations are ongoing to ascertain further links and details surrounding the case.
