Kasargod, Jan 18: The foundation stone for the new building of the Kayyar Christ the King Church was laid on Saturday morning by Kasargod deanery vicar forane, Fr Stany Pereira.
Architect Anil Lobo attended the event as the chief guest. Present on the occasion were Kayyar church parish priest Fr Vishal Monis, Mysuru Pushpashrama rector Fr Oswald Crasta, parish council vice president Roshan D’Souza, secretary Zina D’Souza, Sr Jasmine Lewis, Sr Reena Serrao, Alphons D’Souza, other parish council members, and well-wishers.
The morning ceremony included a solemn Mass and blessings conducted by Fr Stany Pereira. Vincent D’Souza compered the programme.
