Mumbai, Jan 19: Veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha has expressed shock and sadness over the recent stabbing of Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan, calling the incident “sad and unfortunate.” Taking to social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Shatrughan extended his well wishes to Saif and praised his wife, actress Kareena Kapoor, for her support during this challenging time.

In a post shared by the actor, he also included an AI-generated image of Saif in the hospital, lying on a bed with Kareena by his side, both smiling. He captioned the image, "Very sad & unfortunate the tragic attack on our near, dear & loved #SaifAliKhan, which injured him severely. Thank God he is healing well. Profound regards to my all-time favourite 'show man' filmmaker #RajKapoor's granddaughter #KareenaKapoorKhan & the family."

Shatrughan further added, "Please stop the 'blame game.' The police are doing their job well, and we appreciate our CM and HM, Maharashtra @Dev_Fadnavis, for his concern and remedial measures. Let’s not complicate the matter further. It will be solved soon."

He also expressed gratitude to Maharashtra's Deputy CM @AjitPawarSpeaks and Chief Minister @mieknathshinde for their kind words and care. Shatrughan praised Saif’s remarkable career, noting his Padma Shri and National Award recognitions. He concluded, “Law will take its own course. Get well soon.”

Meanwhile, Saif Ali Khan remains under medical observation after being attacked in his Bandra apartment early Thursday. The actor underwent surgery for severe stab wounds, including a deep injury to his thoracic spine. Doctors have confirmed that Saif is now out of danger and has been moved from the ICU to a regular room.

In a breakthrough, Mumbai Police arrested a suspect from Thane on Sunday. A part of the knife allegedly used in the attack has been recovered from Saif’s residence, and the police continue to investigate the case.

The actor’s condition is stable, with medical staff continuing to monitor his recovery.
