Udupi: Applications invited for the Francis Danti Memorial Literary Award

Udupi, Jan 24: The Francis Danti Memorial Foundation and Catholic Sabha Udupi Pradesh (RI) jointly invite entries for the Karnataka state level ‘The Francis Danti Memorial Literary Award – 2024’ for works in Kannada published by Catholic Konkani Christians from January 2024 to December 2024.

Works worthy of the award include religious, ideological, scientific, historical, sociological, folkloric studies, biography, portraits, collections of edited works, works translated from Konkani, collections of stories, novels, collections of poetry, plays, and collections of short plays. A person who has received the award once is not allowed to participate again.

The award carries a cash prize of Rs 25,000, a memento, a shawl and will be felicitated at the annual general meeting of the Catholic Sabha Udupi region.

The publication has asked to send 4 printed copies of their works to Alphonse D'Costa, convenor, ‘The Francis Danti Memorial Foundation’, Catholic Sabha Udupi Region (R), 1st Floor, Anugraha, Palanakendra Kakkunje, Santekate Post Udupi – 576105 by February 28.
