Los Angeles, Jan 7 (IANS/EFE): Singer Ricky Martin has said he has no plans to marry despite rumours to the contrary, but would like to have a baby girl this year.
The Puerto Rican "Livin' La Vida Loca" singer has denied he was about to say "I do" to his companion, Carlos Gonzalez Abella, in a New York ceremony Jan 28.
"We are not talking about it, we're not thinking about it. But I'm so happy that in Europe we have the option. It's amazing to think that we can say, 'I feel like it. I'm ready. Let's go'," Martin told Latina magazine.
The 40-year-old singer is the father of three-year-old twin boys, and said he wants to have more kids soon.
"I think that I'll do it later on this year, so that (the kids) are not too far apart in ages. A little girl! Dios mio, me muero... But we're going to talk about that later on. It would be irresponsible to do it now," he said Martin.
Martin would be playing the part of "Che" Guevara in the musical "Evita" on Broadway.
"The people, the critics, are going to be expecting a lot. It has to be the best. You have to have the attitude that, 'You know what? No one will stop me.' It's going to be a magical year," he said.
