New Delhi, Feb 12: In a massive setback for Team India, ace pacer Jasprit Bumrah has been ruled out of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 due to a lower back injury. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) confirmed the unfortunate news on Tuesday.

Young fast bowler Harshit Rana has been named as Bumrah’s replacement for the prestigious tournament, which begins on February 19 in Pakistan. In another major change, mystery spinner Varun Chakaravarthy has been included in the squad, replacing opener Yashasvi Jaiswal, who was part of the provisional team.

Under the hybrid model agreement, India will play all their matches in Dubai instead of Pakistan.

India’s updated squad for Champions Trophy 2025:

Rohit Sharma (captain), Shubman Gill (vice-captain), Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul (WK), Rishabh Pant (WK), Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, Kuldeep Yadav, Harshit Rana, Mohammad Shami, Arshdeep Singh, Ravindra Jadeja, Varun Chakaravarthy.
