Mangaluru, Feb 16: SCS Preschools Urwa, Bikarnakatte, Kodialguthu, celebrate their Annual Day on February 15.
The annual day programme of SCS Preschools located in Urwa, Bikarnakatte, and Kodialguttu was celebrated with great fervour and enthusiasm at the SCS Riverside Campus on Long Lane, Urwa. The event, themed "The Elements” showcased the different elements and their relevance in the existence of life.
The chief guest, Dr Geover Lobo, professor and head of the department of neurosurgery, Fr Muller’s Medical College, Mangaluru, highlighted the crucial role of responsible parenting, emphasising the importance of fostering healthy sleep habits in children.
He stressed that ensuring children get adequate and restful sleep is essential for their overall growth and development. The chief guest advised parents to prioritise sleep, as it significantly contributes to a child’s physical, mental, and emotional well-being, aiding in their ability to learn, grow, and thrive.
Presiding over the programme was Dr Rajneesh Sorake, the esteemed president of the SCS Group of Institutions. Dr Sorake commended the dedicated staff of the Preschools and expressed gratitude to the parents for entrusting their children to the nurturing care provided by SCS Preschools.
The event also witnessed the presence of notable personalities including advocate Sridevi R Amin, Dr Ravi Rao, principal of Karnataka Ayurveda Medical College, Dr Ajith Kamath, medical director, Karnataka Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital, Dr Kabbinale Balakrishna Baradwaj, principal of SCS First Grade College, Professor Rajaram, principal SCS PU College and Helen Lobo, principal of SCS Riverside International Academy, among others.
The programme was skilfully hosted by Venitha, Cherishma and Preethi, while the warm welcome to the gathering was extended by Vinaya D’Souza, principal of SCS Preschools.
Preethi, coordinator of SCS Preschool Urwa, conveyed the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all participants and supporters.
The cultural extravaganza that ensued captivated the audience, as the young children embarked on a journey exploring the beauty and the importance of some of the elements of nature, leaving an indelible mark with their captivating performances.
