Jalgaon, Mar 2: Union Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports Raksha Khadse has demanded strict action against miscreants who harassed her daughter and other girls during a yatra in Kothali village, Jalgaon.

The incident occurred at the Maha Shivratri Mela in Muktainagar, where a group of youths allegedly harassed the girls and attempted to take their pictures. Though police arrived promptly, the accused had fled.

Khadse, visibly upset, arrived at the police station with her daughter and supporters, stating, "I am here not as a minister, but as a mother seeking justice." She questioned women's safety, asserting that if a public representative's daughter could face such harassment, ordinary citizens were even more vulnerable.

She emphasized the growing crimes against women, urging strict legal action and vowing to take up the issue with the Chief Minister.
