Udupi, Mar 2: Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar has dismissed speculation about placing conditions on power-sharing, reaffirming his loyalty to the Congress party. Speaking at the Udupi District Congress Bhavan, he stated that he remains committed to the party and its leadership.
"I have not put any conditions, nor do I need to. I am a Congress worker and will do whatever the party instructs me to do. Beyond that, I am not involved in anything else," he asserted.

Responding to queries about his recent visit to Delhi and alleged discussions on power-sharing, Shivakumar rejected claims of applying pressure on the high command.
"There is no question of conditions or blackmail; it's not in my blood. I am a loyal Congress worker, and my dedication is to the party and the Gandhi family. Those who assume otherwise are living in an illusion," he said.
Taking a swipe at the BJP and media speculation, Shivakumar remarked, "BJP leaders are bound to be confused. Some people cannot remain satisfied unless they speculate about me. If TV channels and newspapers don't cover our news, their TRP won't increase. In 2028, Congress will return to power. That is all I have to say."
During his visit, Shivakumar also addressed Congress workers in Udupi. As he began speaking, party workers whistled in excitement, prompting him to intervene.
"Stop whistling; the Congress office is like a temple. You must show respect to the party office," he instructed.
