NCC cadets of Mangalore Group felicitated at St Aloysius

Mangaluru, Mar 8: A grand felicitation ceremony was held at St Aloysius (Deemed to be University) to honour the exemplary efforts of 71 NCC cadets of the Army, Navy, and Air Force junior and senior wing, who have shown remarkable dedication and discipline in representing the Karnataka & Goa Directorate. The event recognized the participation of these cadets in the prestigious National level camps, where they showcased their talent, hard work, and leadership skills. The ceremony also celebrated the involvement of the cadets' parents, who were present to witness their children's achievements and share in the pride of their success.

The ceremony, hosted by the NCC Mangalore Group, was graced by esteemed dignitaries including the chief guest, Capt Brijesh Chowta, member of parliament, and Dr. Praveen Martis SJ, vice chancellor of St Aloysius (Deemed to be University), Col Viraj Kamath, group commander, NCC Mangalore Group, Col Gratian Sequeira, commanding officer, 18 Kar Bn NCC Mangalore, Dr Alwyn D’Sa, registrar, St Aloysius College (Autonomous), Dr Ronald Nazareth, registrar of the university, and Shilpa D’Souza, institutional development officer of the university.

A motivational speech was delivered by Col Viraj Kamath, group commander of NCC Mangalore, who inspired the cadets to continue their journey of excellence and to strive for greatness in all their future endeavours. Col Viraj Kamath emphasized the importance of discipline, hard work, and patriotism as fundamental qualities that would lead them to success. He also acknowledged the crucial role played by the parents in shaping these cadets into the disciplined and focused individuals they are today.

The ceremony included the presentation of mementoes to both boy and girl cadets, recognizing their outstanding contributions. In addition to the mementoes, the cadets were awarded cash incentives as a token of appreciation for their hard work and commitment to the nation. The presence of the parents added a special touch to the ceremony, as they were able to celebrate their children's accomplishments alongside them.
