Mumbai, Mar 9: Veteran actress and cinema advocate Shabana Azmi has curated the ‘Femme Lens’ category at the upcoming Red Lorry Film Festival, showcasing remarkable films by women filmmakers from around the world. The special section, held on Women's Day, celebrated the bold storytelling and artistic vision of women in cinema.

Expressing her enthusiasm, Azmi said, "Cinema has the power to transcend boundaries, and these films exemplify the artistry and storytelling that women bring to the big screen. I'm thrilled for audiences to experience these carefully selected works and to honor the dedication of women filmmakers on this special day."

The festival, curated by BookMyShow, returns for its second edition from March 21-23, 2025, with an impressive lineup of industry leaders. Oscar-winning producer Guneet Monga will conduct a masterclass on taking independent films global, while Siddharth Roy Kapur will lead a discussion on the evolving entertainment landscape. Directors Akarsh Khurana and Sooni Taraporevala will explore the transformation of storytelling, and screenwriter Anjum Rajabali will provide insights into crafting compelling narratives.
