Mangaluru, March 16: A heart-wrenching accident unfolded in Mangaluru when a 13-year-old boy tragically lost his life after falling from the fifth floor of an apartment building. The incident occurred in an apartment in the Maryhill locality, sending shockwaves through the local community.

The young victim has been identified as Samarjeet Bhandary, the son of Sudesh Bhandary. Samarjeet, a 6th-grade student at a local private school, was reportedly playing or spending time near the window when the fatal fall occurred. The impact of the fall caused severe injuries to his head and neck, leaving him critically injured.

Emergency responders rushed Samarjeet to the hospital immediately, but despite the best efforts of the medical team, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival. The tragic incident has left his family and neighbours in deep shock and grief.

The Kavoor police have registered an unnatural death case and are investigating the circumstances surrounding this devastating fall.
