Mumbai, Mar 19: Renowned television actress Helly Shah, who stars in the newly released series Zyada Mat Udd, finds excitement in roles that challenge her as an artist. For her, pushing boundaries and stepping into unconventional characters is what fuels her passion for acting.

Helly plays Kajal, a confident and ambitious woman who refuses to be constrained by societal norms. Unlike the traditional roles she has portrayed in the past, Kajal is outspoken, fearless, and always ready to take on new challenges.

"Being part of an ensemble cast has never been a concern for me because I trust my craft. What excites me the most is taking on roles that challenge me as an actor," says Helly.

Sharing her experience of portraying Kajal, she adds, "This character has been a refreshing change. She speaks her mind, stands up for herself, and exudes a different energy from the roles I’ve played before. Exploring her journey has been both thrilling and rewarding."

Helly Shah began her acting career while she was still in school, making her debut with Gulaal in the eighth grade. She later appeared in Diya Aur Baati Hum (2011) before taking on lead roles in shows like Alaxmi - Hamari Super Bahu, Khelti Hai Zindagi Aankh Micholi, and Khushiyon Kii Gullak Aashi.

Her breakthrough role as Swara Maheshwari in Swaragini earned her widespread recognition. In 2016, she showcased her versatility by participating in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 9. Over the years, she has starred in numerous popular shows, including Devanshi, Sufiyana Pyaar Mera, Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke, and Ishq Mein Marjawan 2.

With Zyada Mat Udd, Helly continues to push her artistic limits, bringing a fresh and dynamic portrayal to the screen.
