Udupi, Mar 19: “SSLC board examination for the year 2025 will commence on March 21 and will conclude on April 4, with all safety measures and basic facilities for students taken”, said Dr K Vidya Kumari, Deputy Commissioner, Udupi district.
Addressing media persons at the DC office on Wednesday, March 19, DC Dr K Vidya Kumari said, “A total of 14,153 students from Udupi will be taking up the examination, including 7,152 boys and 6,646 girls. The exams will take place across 51 exam centres in the district, with students from 272 schools participating. These schools include 115 government institutions, 68 aided schools, and 89 unaided schools.”



DC Dr K Vidya Kumari, informed, to ensure a smooth and secure conduct of the examination, strict security measures will be in place. Question papers will be deposited in the district treasury and later distributed to taluk treasuries.
On the day of the exam, the question papers will be circulated to the respective examination centers. All classrooms will be equipped with CCTV cameras, and the entire process will be webcasted to the district office to ensure transparency and prevent any malpractice.
The district administration has made arrangements for the comfort and safety of the students, including provisions for sufficient water, ORS, and first aid at all exam centers. Also, midday meals are served to students after the examination in all 51 centers in the district.
Electronic gadgets, including mobile phone handsets, smart watches and Bluetooth devices, will be strictly prohibited at the centres to maintain the integrity of the examination. A free travel facility has been provided for students in government buses.
The district has also organised mock tests to help students alleviate exam-related anxiety and fear.
To further ensure a smooth exam process, Section 144 will be enforced near the examination centres during the examination days. Students are advised to reach their exam centres at least one hour before the scheduled time to avoid any last-minute rush.
Invigilators are also prohibited from carrying any electronic devices, and if any invigilator's children are attending the exam, they will not be assigned duties at those centres.
DC Dr K Vidya Kumari assured that no question papers will be leaked, with all necessary measures in place for safe distribution. Students and parents are urged not to believe in any fake news regarding paper leaks circulating on social media. In case of any such rumours, she requested them to immediately report to district officials for necessary action.
