Mangaluru, Mar 20: TIARA 2025, the two-day techno cultural fest organized by St Joseph Engineering College (SJEC), Mangaluru, was inaugurated on Thursday March 20 at the college basketball ground. Jeevan D'Souza, country HR lead & senior manager - HRBP, EG India, graced the occasion as chief guest during the inaugural.
The fest got off to a grand inaugural on the first day as a cheerful flash mob entertained the crowd gathered at the venue and rendered a mesmerizing welcome to the gathering. The unveiling of the TIARA logo, the techno cultural fest organized by the college was done in presence of all the dignitaries.






















Jeevan D'Souza in his address complimented the students for coming up with such innovative ways of inaugurating the event. He appreciated the creativity involved around the event. He congratulated the students for their competitive instincts, ideas and innovation. He insisted on focusing on inspiring themselves first and understand the process of winning within them. He further encouraged all the participants to step up and give their best shot, enjoy the process of winning within themselves. He congratulated the college on organizing an event of such stature and wished the fest great success.
Fr Wilfred Prakash D’Souza, director of SJEC, Fr Kenneth R Crasta, assistant director, Dr Rio D’Souza, principal, Dr Purushothama Chippar, vice principal of the college along with various deans, HODs, faculty members and students were present at the inaugural along with the staff conveners of the fest, Roopesh M and Priya Miranda. The student conveners of the event, Uthpal and Diya Gopal were also present on the occasion.
The two-day fest will witness participation of students from across the region in a series of technical, non-technical as well as cultural events displaying their skills and competencies witnessing innovation and creativity. Apart from the techno-cultural events, the major attractions of the fest include the GROOVE, Variety Vertex, Spin the Disc scheduled on the first day followed by performance by BAND RhythmMates, the cultural programme and the award ceremony on the second day followed by Fashion Fusion and DJ Night by the popular DJ Aryan Gala. The major sponsors of the event are Emdees - Computers & IT Solutions, WiZdomEd, ONGC-MRPL, S.L.Shet, and equidor-medtech.
