Call for reopening Disha Salian's death case linked to Sushant Singh Rajput's tragic end

Patna, Mar 20: The controversial death of Disha Salian, the former manager of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, has once again come under scrutiny. Neeraj Kumar Singh Bablu, Sushant's cousin, has called for the Maharashtra government to reopen the investigation into her death, claiming it could uncover vital details connected to Sushant's demise.

Disha Salian passed away five years ago, and her father, Satish Salian, has approached the Bombay High Court, demanding that an FIR be filed against Shiv Sena-UBT leader Aaditya Thackeray and others. The petition is expected to be processed by Thursday, marking a significant turn in a case that has remained shrouded in mystery.

Bablu expressed his concerns to IANS: "Disha’s death occurred just days before Sushant’s, and we’ve always believed there’s a connection. We’ve been saying for a long time that Disha was murdered, but the police covered it up. Her father’s confirmation about external pressure only strengthens our claims. We urge the government to thoroughly investigate this case because once we uncover the truth about Disha’s death, it will also shed light on Sushant’s case."

Satish Salian’s petition for a CBI inquiry into Disha's death has reignited political tensions. Maharashtra Minister and BJP leader Nitesh Rane has called for Aaditya Thackeray’s arrest and interrogation in connection with the case.

In response, Aaditya Thackeray dismissed the renewed attention on Disha’s death as a diversionary tactic. He accused those behind the focus on the case of using it to deflect from more significant issues, especially following recent statements by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) regarding Aurangzeb's tomb.

Disha Salian died on June 8, 2020, after falling from the 14th floor of a Mumbai building. The police initially classified it as an Accidental Death Report (ADR) with no signs of foul play. Just days later, on June 14, Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his apartment, sparking nationwide debate. The initial ruling of suicide in Sushant’s case was later challenged, and the investigation was handed over to the CBI due to growing public suspicions.
