Washington, Mar 21: US President Donald Trump has announced that the United States is on the verge of signing a rare earth minerals agreement with Ukraine, a move expected to strengthen bilateral ties and boost America’s strategic resource supply.
Speaking at a campaign event, Trump emphasized the importance of securing critical minerals, which play a crucial role in defense, technology, and renewable energy sectors. He stated that the deal would be finalized "very shortly" and would help reduce US dependence on China for rare earth elements.

"Ukraine has vast reserves of these minerals, and this agreement will be a game-changer for both countries," Trump remarked. He further underscored the need for the US to enhance its domestic and allied sources for rare earth production to safeguard national security and economic interests.
While specific details of the agreement remain undisclosed, experts suggest that the deal could pave the way for increased cooperation in resource extraction, processing, and technological advancements between the two nations.
