Beltangady: Bike rider dies after tree branch falls on moving vehicle

Beltangady, Mar 21: A tragic accident occurred near the Jarigebailu Mosque on the Guruvayanakere-Uppinangady state highway when a large mango tree branch fell on a moving two-wheeler, resulting in the rider’s death. The incident took place on March 20 at around 8 pm.

The deceased has been identified as Praveen S L (25), the elder of twin sons of Sanjeev, a resident of Karpu Gudde near Belyalu Periyadka. Praveen was employed at a private bank in Mangaluru.

Locals rushed him to a nearby hospital in critical condition, but he succumbed to his injuries on the way. His body has been kept at the Beltangady taluk government hospital mortuary.

Police personnel and forest department officials visited the accident site to assess the situation.
