Pune, Mar 23: In a shocking incident, a 38-year-old techie from Pune allegedly murdered his 3-year-old son, suspecting his wife of infidelity. The accused, identified as Madhav, slit the child’s throat and dumped the body in a forested area before being found intoxicated at a lodge.

According to police reports, Madhav had a heated argument with his wife on Thursday afternoon. Consumed by rage and suspicion, he stormed out of the house with his son. After spending time at a bar, he later moved towards a supermarket and eventually ventured into the forested area near Chandan Nagar, where he committed the gruesome act.

Meanwhile, in a separate incident in Uttar Pradesh, a court sentenced a woman and her lover to life imprisonment for the murder of her 5-year-old stepson.

As per police reports, the child had accidentally witnessed his stepmother in a compromising situation with her lover in Bulandshahr’s Khanpur area. Fearing exposure, the duo strangled the boy, stuffed his body in a trunk, and hid it inside the house.

Both incidents have sent shockwaves, raising concerns over rising domestic violence and crimes against children.
