Tumakuru, Mar 26: Amid growing discussions in state and national politics regarding attempts to trap ministers and MLAs in honey traps, cooperation minister K N Rajanna on Tuesday disclosed that he was targeted twice.
Addressing a press conference, Rajanna claimed that two separate attempts were made to honey-trap him, with different women involved in each instance but accompanied by the same man.

Woman posed as high court lawyer
"A young man brought two different women to my residence on separate occasions. The second time, the woman claimed to be a High Court lawyer, whereas the first woman did not make such a claim. She wanted to speak to me personally. If I see the photos, I can identify them," Rajanna stated.
No CCTV footage available
The minister admitted that his residence lacked CCTV cameras at the time, so there is no footage to verify the visits. "I have filed a complaint against unknown persons and have requested action against those involved," he added.
Complaint to home minister
"I was occupied with various programs, which delayed filing a complaint. The chief minister questioned me about the delay, and I assured him that I would file it today. This morning, I drafted a three-page complaint and will personally submit it to home minister Dr G Parameshwara. Once the FIR is registered, all related documents will be made public," Rajanna said.
To report to party high command
Clarifying his previous remarks, the minister stated, "I never mentioned a judge in my comments. I spoke about political leaders. After March 30, I will travel to Delhi and report the honey trap issue to the party high command. This is not a new strategy—it has happened to many before. Honey traps are being used for political revenge, and I demand a thorough investigation to punish those behind this conspiracy," he asserted.
