Third suo moto case filed in Malpe fishermen's protest incident

Udupi, Mar 25: Malpe police have registered a third suo moto case in connection with the recent fishermen's protest in Malpe.

The latest case has been filed against an unidentified individual for circulating a provocative audio clip on social media. The clip allegedly called for a repeat of the 2014 Gangolli incident and urged people to gather and demonstrate their strength through protests.

Earlier, police had registered suo moto cases against Pramod Madhwaraj and Maju Salyan Kola for making provocative remarks during the protest held in Malpe on Saturday, March 22.
