IPL 2025: No fixed par score in T20s anymore, says Arshdeep Singh

Daijiworld Media Network- New Delhi

New Delhi, Mar 26: With batters dictating terms and record totals tumbling, Punjab Kings pacer Arshdeep Singh believes the concept of a "par score" has become irrelevant in modern-day T20 cricket.

Speaking to reporters after a high-scoring clash, Arshdeep remarked, "There is no par score anymore. With pitches favoring batters and teams packed with power-hitters, even 200-plus totals are being chased with ease. Bowlers need to constantly evolve."

IPL 2025 has witnessed a flurry of run-fests, with teams routinely surpassing the 200-run mark. The combination of flat pitches, shorter boundaries, and fearless batting has left bowlers searching for answers. Experts believe that variations, disciplined bowling, and strategic field placements have now become the only way to counter the onslaught.

As the tournament progresses, franchises will be looking to strike the right balance between firepower and tactical depth to stay ahead in the race.
