New Delhi, Mar 26: Former England captain Alastair Cook is set to make a sensational return to competitive cricket, joining the England Champions squad for the World Championship of Legends (WCL), scheduled to take place at Edgbaston in July 2025.

Cook, who retired from international cricket in 2018 as England’s all-time leading Test run-scorer, will reunite with former teammate and white-ball legend Eoin Morgan, who will captain the England Champions in the tournament.

Expressing his excitement, Cook said, “It’s great to be back representing my country. I’m really looking forward to being on the field with Eoin and the other guys again.
