Mangaluru: Lorry seized for illegal sand transportation in Adduru

Mangaluru, Mar 28: A lorry involved in illegal sand transportation was seized in Adduru after a group of individuals attempted to flee the scene, obstructing enforcement efforts.

According to reports, a complaint regarding the incident was filed at the Bajpe police station.

Following this, Bajpe police took possession of the vehicle and placed it under custody for further investigation.

The seized lorry, valued at approximately Rs 8 lac, was found carrying 17 metric tons of sand worth around Rs 15,000. Authorities are continuing their probe into the matter.
