Las Vegas, Apr 2: Oscar-winning actor Leonardo DiCaprio took center stage at CinemaCon to discuss his highly anticipated new film, One Battle After Another, directed by acclaimed filmmaker Paul Thomas Anderson. Speaking at the event on Tuesday, DiCaprio expressed his long-time admiration for Anderson, marking this as their first collaboration on a feature film.
“I’ve been wanting to work with Paul for over 20 years now,” DiCaprio shared, praising the director’s distinctive storytelling style. He added that the film delves into significant political and cultural themes, making it especially relevant.

DiCaprio highlighted Anderson’s unique approach to working with actors, describing the creative freedom he provided during filming. “His ability to work with actors is so unique and bar none,” he said.
Warner Bros. treated audiences to exclusive footage, showcasing a tense scene featuring DiCaprio’s character in a heated phone conversation. In the clip, his character delivers a shocking line: “I’m a drug and alcohol lover. I will hunt you down and stick a loaded piece of dynamite in your fng ahole.”
The black comedy, originally slated for release on August 8, has now been pushed to September 26. The film stars Sean Penn, Benicio Del Toro, and Chase Infiniti, following a group of former revolutionaries who reunite to help one of their own, Bob Ferguson (played by DiCaprio), search for his missing daughter.
Paul Thomas Anderson not only directed the film but also wrote the screenplay and serves as a producer alongside Sara Murphy and Adam Somner. One Battle After Another is believed to be inspired by Thomas Pynchon’s 1990 novel Vineland and carries a production budget exceeding $130 million.
