Mumbai, Jan 17: The recently-held Colors Screen Awards was a nightmare for die-hard fans of bollywood superstar Salman Khan. His fans, who were expecting at least one award for his performance in Bodygaurd, were shocked to learn that Salman's name was not even nominated! To make matters worse for them, his rival actor Shahrukh Khan was nominated for his Don 2, which had scored lower than Bodyguard in box office.

Media persons tried asking a few actors including King Khan why Salman was not shortlisted, but no one could give any convincing answer.

While Colors Screen Awards ceremony was going on here, Salman Khan was enjoying his celebrity cricket tournament away from country, in Sharjah, UAE.

"These awards really don't come to the deserving sometimes, it involves lot of politics. Otherwise, how can Salman Khan be ignored?" Javed Khan, a die-hard fan of Salman Khan tells this media in an angry tone.

"Vidya Balan and Shahid Kapoor deserved best actors awards, but popular choice award should have gone to Salman Khan. There's no doubt he was the popular choice. Look at the box office and movie reviews of Bodygaurd and then compare it to Don 2. I would say Don 2 can never even came close. This is petty politics," he said.

Many young and old minds have aired their opinions on similar lines.

Shall we say 'Politics' and 'Influence' play a big role in award ceremonies too?
