Puttur, Jan 18: An engineer and his associates from the taluk have produced a music album titled ‘I am an Engineer’ in Kannada wherein they make an attempt to put across the dilemmas that plague parents.
Ambitious parents tend to put pressure on their children who are pursuing an engineering course - the album focuses on this idea and the desires of wayward youth who desperately seek proper guidance and encouragement that will help them for smooth transition from teenage to adulthood.
Rakesh Maiya a MBA graduate from VTU and Kabir Manav a LAW student and Arjun Kaje pursuing Mechanical engineering (VTU) and Rakesh Ks a BBM student together produced the album. Rakesh K S composed the song while Arjun Kaje did the playback singing. It was produced in a small studio at the residence of Rakesh K S. The final work indeed matches professional studio finishing, chiefly due to Rakesh’s efforts and enthusiasm.
The group of four decided to produce an album and shared the work amongst themselves. The hands-on experience of Rakesh Maiya and Kabir in handling the camera came to their rescue. The album was shot in HSR Layout in Bangalore.
It has already been viewed by over 75,000 people. The cast has Venkat Arantady, Ramkishore Kedila, Rakesh Maiya’s brother Anup Maiya , and Aditya Madangallu, who are all from the taluk.
The editing was done by Rakesh Maiya on his home PC. The video can be viewed only on YouTube and Facebook.
