Mumbai, Apr 6: Bollywood's beloved power couple, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, have delighted their fans by sharing the screen for the first time since welcoming their daughter, Dua Padukone Singh.
The duo recently featured in a charming advertisement for an air conditioning brand, marking their first joint on-screen appearance since the arrival of their little one. The brand playfully announced the collaboration to their online audience with the caption, "Good looks, good looks & good looks!"
The advertisement showcases a lighthearted scenario where Ranveer humorously notes that guests at their party are more captivated by the comfort of their air conditioners than by Deepika's culinary efforts or storytelling. As Deepika playfully expresses her mock displeasure, Ranveer sweetly wins her over by revealing that he specifically purchased the AC unit for her comfort. The endearing clip concludes with Ranveer receiving a loving kiss from Deepika.
Prior to this advertisement, Deepika and Ranveer were last seen together in Rohit Shetty's upcoming cop film, 'Singham Again'. In the movie, Deepika takes on the role of Shakti Shetty, also known as Lady Singham, while Ranveer reprises his popular character of Simmba from Shetty's cinematic police universe. The film boasts a star-studded cast including Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, Kareena Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, and Jackie Shroff.
The couple's on-screen chemistry has been a major draw in their previous collaborations, including the critically acclaimed films 'Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela' (2013), 'Bajirao Mastani' (2015), 'Padmaavat' (2018), and '83' (2021). Movie enthusiasts have consistently praised their captivating performances together.
Beyond their leading roles, Deepika and Ranveer have also made special appearances in each other's films, namely 'Finding Fanny' (2014) and 'Cirkus' (2023), further showcasing their supportive partnership.
After a period of courtship, Deepika and Ranveer celebrated their union with a grand wedding ceremony in 2018. They embraced parenthood with the arrival of their first child, a daughter, on September 8, 2024. During the Diwali festivities last year, the couple lovingly introduced their daughter to the world, revealing her meaningful name, 'Dua Padukone Singh'. In their heartfelt announcement, they explained, “Dua: meaning a prayer. Because she is the answer to our prayers. Our hearts are filled with love & gratitude.”
