Bengaluru, Apr 7: In a heartwarming initiative blending education and agriculture, students of the Government School in Kuthluru, Beltangady taluk, cultivated vegetables, fruits, and honey on their campus and presented their produce to chief minister Siddaramaiah at his official residence 'Kaveri' in Bengaluru.
The children, who were encouraged to take up farming activities as part of their school learning, proudly handed over their harvest to the chief minister. Impressed by their enthusiasm and commitment towards agriculture, Siddaramaiah personally interacted with the students, appreciating their work and the spirit behind the initiative.
As a gesture of encouragement, the chief minister gifted two computers to the Kuthluru Government School. He also praised the school staff for motivating students to engage with agriculture — a sector he called "the backbone of the nation's economy."
The school teachers, chief minister’s media advisor K V Prabhakar, and youth leader Rakshith Shivaram were present during the interaction.

Mon, Apr 07 2025Wow! This is such a heartwarming news. Salute to the teachers of this govt school who are engaging the students in such an amazing endeavor as farming. I really cant believe that such things happen in govt school. Guess even the CM was surprised and delighted to see this, going by his gesture of donating computers to the school.
