Mumbai, Apr 7: After weeks of soulful music, fierce competition, and emotional moments, Manasi Ghosh was crowned the winner of Indian Idol Season 15. The talented singer not only lifted the coveted trophy but also walked away with a cash prize of Rs 25 lac, winning over millions of hearts across the nation.
Manasi emerged victorious after a closely contested finale, defeating fellow finalists Subhajit Chakraborty and Sneha Shankar. The announcement was made amid loud cheers and emotional scenes on stage, with her family joining her in celebration.

Taking to social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Sony TV posted a photo of the newly-crowned winner with the caption: “After weeks of music, magic, and moments Manasi didn’t just win a title, she won a million hearts.”
In a conversation with Indian Express, a visibly elated Manasi shared, “It has still not hit me that I’ve won. My family was here for the finale, and they were in tears. I was blank at first, not knowing how to react, but we are all truly happy. Life has changed for the better.”
Manasi, who had earlier bagged the second position in Super Singer Season 3, has become a household name with this win. She revealed plans for her prize money, saying, “I want to invest in my independent music and also buy a car which I’ll be using.”
In one of the most touching moments of the finale, Manasi’s parents joined her on stage, reminiscing about her childhood and sacrifices. They proudly recalled how she had supported the family during difficult times, adding with a smile, “She has promised to buy us many houses.”
The finale of Indian Idol 15 was hosted by the ever-energetic Aditya Narayan. The panel of judges included Shreya Ghoshal, Vishal Dadlani, and Badshah, with special appearances by Bollywood divas Shilpa Shetty and Raveena Tandon, alongside singer Mika Singh.
With her soulful voice, humility, and hard-earned victory, Manasi Ghosh has now etched her name in the history of Indian music reality shows and inspired countless aspiring singers across the country.
