Mumbai, Apr 10: Television actress Isha Malviya, known for her impactful roles and vibrant screen presence, has voiced her concerns regarding the unequal opportunities in the entertainment industry, highlighting the need to give real talent a fair platform, regardless of background.
In a candid conversation with IANS, Isha, who rose to fame with her role as Jasmine in the hit TV show “Udaariyaan” (2021), shared her reflections on the inner workings of the industry.

“One thing that has always surprised me—and still does—is how so many incredibly talented people aren’t given equal opportunities,” she said.
While acknowledging that nepotism isn’t entirely negative, she asserted that outsiders deserve at least one fair shot.
“Let them compete with star kids and let the audience decide who deserves to shine. The future of Bollywood should be shaped by merit, not by legacy,” she added.
Isha, who also featured in “Bigg Boss 17”, and appeared in music videos like "Paon Ki Jutti", recently teamed up with Gauahar Khan in the show “Lovely Lolla.”
Reflecting on her acting choices, she said that playing characters that differ from her real personality gives her a boost of confidence.
“It makes me feel proud that I’m a versatile actress. I’ve never had second thoughts about playing any character,” she remarked.
On a more personal note, Isha revealed her guilty pleasure—indulging in desserts, despite having to maintain her fitness.
“But hey, it’s okay once in a while,” she chuckled.
When asked what the title of a movie based on her life would be, the actress smiled and said:
“Yeh Ladki Pagal Hai”—a reflection of my quirky and spontaneous personality!”
With passion, honesty, and determination, Isha Malviya continues to pave her path in the industry, standing tall as a voice for merit and inclusivity.
